Biography
Camille Rojas (b. Toronto, 1993)
Camille Rojas is a Canadian multidisciplinary artist of Colombian descent based in Toronto. She holds a BFA in Photography Studies from Toronto Metropolitan University's School of Image Arts (2017), and works as an arts administrator in organizations such as Images Festival and the Toronto Dance Community Love-In. Camille is also a grant writer and photography instructor. She is a recipient of several grants from the Ontario, Toronto, and Canada Council for the Arts, as well as the 2015-16 SF Award from Toronto Metropolitan University's School of Image Arts.
Rojas' work has been featured in the solo exhibitions MOVEMENTS (with Sofia Mesa, Gallery TPW, Toronto, 2020); Sothebae's (Erin Stump Projects, Toronto, 2018); System of a Gesture (Ryerson Image Centre, Toronto, 2017); and The Whistler, curated by Heather Rigg, Alliance Française Gallery, Toronto (CONTACT Photography Festival), 2016. Collective exhibitions and performances include c(o)rporeal dissssonance (DAZIBAO, Montréal, 2022); Moving Either Way (curated by Holly Chang and Karina Iskandarsjah, Trinity Square Video, Toronto, 2020); Les Gestes Flottent, S’empilent et Éclatent (performance, curated by Maude Johnson & Florence-Agathe Dubé-Moreau, Regart Centre D'artistes en Art Actuel, Lévis, 2020); among many others.
