Karina Roman Justo is an emerging writer andresearcher residing in Toronto. She recently completedher BA in Visual and Critical Studies at OCAD University, where she has been recipientof the VCS Writing Awards for best essay during three consecutive years, whereshe also led the Journal of Visual and Critical Studies. She has publishedreviews in diverse publicationslike the Senses and Society Journal. Her research focuses on decolonial theory aswell as collaborative relationships between human and non-human beings withinart practices.Currently, Karina coordinates the Mentorship Program at Sur Gallery and she isthe education assistant at the Textile Museum of Canada.
