Biography 

Carolina de la Cajiga (Mexico) 

Carolina de la Cajiga is a Mexican visual artist based in Vancouver. Carolina is an autodidact photographer, painter and sculptor. Throughout the years she has taken courses at the Louvre Museum in Paris, Langara College, Capilano University, Focal Point, Vancouver Photo Workshops, and Emily Carr University in Vancouver Canada; the Art Institute in San Miguel Allende in Mexico, and the Academy of Realist Art in Seattle, USA. Since 2022 Carolina has been a member of the International Society of Female Professionals in New York. Her work was acquired in 2002 by the West Vancouver Museum Collection.

Carolina de la Cajiga studio work is mainly with painting and photography, interested in rendering asymmetrical and symmetrical details of our contemporary landscapes. Her work has been part of the solo exhibition City in Flux: Work in Progress (2018) at the Ferry Building Gallery in West Vancouver, as part of the Capture Photo Festival 2018 and City in Flux: Work in Progress (2017), curated by Stefanie Wysota, at the District Library Gallery, in North Vancouver. Carolina's work has been included in the collective exhibitions Bridges of Friendship A Showcase Portraying The Multicultural Landscape (2019), curated by Toni Zhang McAfee, Ari de la Mora, and Richard Kent, at the Consulate General of Mexico in Vancouver and the Lipont Gallery, in Vancouver. The collective exhibition Urban Shift (2018), at the Deer Lake Art Gallery, Burnaby in British Columbia. City in Flux: Work in Progress (2017), curated by Stefanie Wysota, at the District Library Gallery, in North Vancouver.
