Luísa Cruz is the database coordinator and researcher for ARCHIVO, Sur Gallery’s digital platform which allows for the accessibility, searchability, and discoverability of the Latin American diaspora of visual artists in Canada. She is also completing a MA in Communication and Culture at Toronto Metropolitan University, where she explores the intersections of visual culture, art history and immigration in Canada through a research-creation lens. Luísa has a BFA in Film Production from York University, and her short films have screened at Images Festival, VUCAVU, the Museum of Immigration in Halifax (NS), the Human Rights Museum in Winnipeg (MB), and the Woodland Cultural Centre in Brantford (ON).
