Bio

NAHÚM FLORES was born in Danlí, Honduras and immigrated to Canada at theage of seventeen, after living in Mexico and the United States. He holds a BFAin Drawing and Painting from OCAD University and is currently an MFA student atOCADU. He has been awarded grants from the Pollock-Krasner Foundation, theOntario Arts Council, the Toronto Arts Council, and the Sustainable ArtsFoundation. The syncretism of Honduran traditions informed by social andenvironmental issues influence his mixed media artworks. His painting anddrawing installations have been widely exhibited in North America, Europe, andLatin America. He is co-founder and active member of Z’otz* Collective.
