Biography 

Susana Reisman is a Venezuelan-Canadian visual artist working primarily in photography and sculpture, based in Toronto, Canada. She received a BA in Economics from Wellesley College (Boston) in 1999 and an MFA in Photography from the Rochester Institute of Technology (Rochester, NY) in 2005. Her children’s book Time Flies (Dar Onboz, 2009) was awarded the Bolognaragazzi Award – Opera Prima Mention at the Bologna Children's Book Fair in Italy, and the 2nd CJ Picture Book Awards – New Publications Winner from the Korea Foundation Cultural Center in Seoul, Korea. Reisman has also been awarded several grants from the Ontario Arts Council.

Susana Reisman's artistic practice explores the ways we interpret, construct, classify, and experience the world around us, with a focus on ideas of transformation and standardization.
